Help! I've run Linux for years and never been so clueless. I'm
trying to load FC2 on a machine that has happily run RH8 and RH9
for several years. I'm re-partitioning the disk to make room for a
dual-boot of Windows. Right after the partition (manual) and the
format, a window pops up saying:
An error occurred when attempting to
load an installer interface component
className = MainBootloaderWindow
The "Retry" button does nothing, the "Exit" button stops the
install without resolving the problem.
Any pointers to what this might be would be appreciated. Google
is pretty silent on the topic.
I've already fought with the FC2/Windows problem described in
http://lwn.net/Articles/86835 and I blamed that for the first
few copies of this error that I saw. Now that I've gotten around
that problem, this error is still present and is very repeatable.
I have installed from these CDs once already and I have checked
them for disk errors. Again, any pointers would be most appreciated.
