I keep doing this to myself, so I've really got no-one to blame. A couple
of days ago, I got my SB Audigy card was working under FC2 (kernel version
2.6.8-1.521, ALSA version 1.06).
So of course, I went and installed Solaris 9 onto teh drive that Linux had
been on. Anyway, I'd decided to go back to Linux, so after reinstalling
and downloading a new kernel (using apt), I reinstalled ALSA from source
like I did before. Thus time, however, there was no alsaconf program to
run in order to get the card working properly.
So I'm stuck again, in pretty much the situation I was in just before I got
this whole thing fixed the first time.
So if anyone could let me know where I could find an up-to-date alsaconf
program, that'd be great. The ones I've found and downloaded were 0.4.9
versions and that sort of thing, and only seemed to be able to find older
sound cards.
This really should teach me not to remove and install operating systems so
much.
