RH ES 3.0 Updates

I am looking to install RH Enterprise Linux ES 3.0 on my ThinkPad.

1) How do I apply updates ? via RH Network ?
2) Can I download updates and apply it offline ?
3) Is Update 3 cumulative, i.e. includes Update 2, 1.... ?
4) Is registration required for getting updates ?
