REbuild GRUB boot loader

I had a system dual booted with FC2 and Win2K Server and deleted the Win2K
to put XP Pro in.

Obviously XP blew out the GRUB and therefore I can't boot FC2. Is there a
command like fdisk /mbr to rebuild the grub or do I have to reinstall? I
have nener had any problems with dual boots as long at the WinX whatever
was first.

I tried booting to the rescue and doing a grub-install /dev/hda but it
comes back telling me grub not found even though when I type grub it takes
me to a grub prompt.
I can reinstall but I'd like to do this if it can be done.

TIA
