File system for dual-boot drive

Hey Folks,
Just want to verify something.
I'm going to be adding an external firewire drive to a system that
dual-boots FC3 and XP.
I'm assuming the only way I can get a read/write mount on both systems is
to format it FAT32. Are there any other options?
