I work in an IS Dept that has a laptop with Red Hat and Win2k on it.
We use it to monitor one of our systems and always boot into Windows
(I'm not even sure why Red Hat is still on it). This morning when I
came, the laptop had a "grub" command prompt and I cannot get out of
it. I've tried restarting, in hopes that I would get the normal Red
Hat or Dos selection, but I do not. I've tried a few commands that
I've found from various sites, but I'll either get the error "Error
8: Kerner must be loaded before booting" or "Error 27: Unrecognized
command" (even though I'm pulling commands from the "list of possible
commands").
If anyone could please give me any info - even why I have this command
prompt - I would really appreciate it.
Thanks.
