It looks as though all is well with my recent paddle in Linux waters until I
tried to find the printer port. It is not found by the configuration tool
and although I can set up a print Que and assign a printer driver to it the
printer is totally unaware that it is attached to as computer. The Hardware
bbrowser shows a USB UHCI Root hub - but does not identify the manufacturer
or driver.. I assume this means it wont work !
The Hardware browser also shows under "unknown devices" CS4236B:CTRL
No mention is made of serial or parallel ports..

The P.C I have is an Apricot PII with 64 meg of ram.

I would be grateful for any hints...

By the way should the gnome desktop have a bar in root user mode.. It
appears for all other users !
