Hi I'm trying to create a custom Redhat ES3 install CD with a kickstart
file on the CD. I have no problem creating the ISO and locating the
ks.cfg file on boot. However the installer fails to recognize my CD as
a Redhat Install CD.
I get the message "The Redhat Enterprise install CD was not found in
any of your drives. Please insert the Redhat Enterprise Linux CD and
press OK to retry".
I've copied the contents of the first ES3 install CD to my machine,
added the ks.cfg to the necessary place, and from the install CD
directory run this command (straight from the docs) :
# mkisofs -o ../file.iso -b isolinux/isolinux.bin -c boot.cat
-no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -boot-info-table -R -J -v -T .
This creates the iso, which I then burn to CD with :
# cdrecord -v blank=fast speed=32 dev=ATAPI:0,0,0 file.iso
The resulting CD boots to boot prompt, finds the ks.cfg, and comes back
with the message above "The Redhat Enterprise install CD was not found
in any of your drives ... "
I am missing something a step here somewhere. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Keith
