compress on RH 9

I do not have compress command installed on my RH9 system.
I looked in add remove packages and did not see it listed.

questions
1. Is there an easy way to install compress?

2. Is there an easy way to find out what utils / pgms are contained in
what packages ?
            ex: what package do I need to install the compress util
