Good, do this and read the on screen displayed messages. Use the
'chroot' command as instructed when ready do something like;
/sbin/grub-install --recheck /dev/hda1
And if I may suggest that before you do this change the drives around,
make the FC3 harddrive the master drive and the Windows XP drive the
slave drive or the secondary master drive. This will cause you less of
a problem dual booting, Fedora Core and Red Hat does not support NTFS
partitions 'out of the box' and you may have a problem installing GRUB
to the MBR of the primary Windows XP drive. If you don't want to swap
the drives around use /dev/hdb1 instead of /dev/hda1 above and have a
