Resetting Hard Drive Geometry

I have a 123 GB IBM HD whose original c/h/s of 16383/16/63
was changed to 54131/16/255 by the Fedora Core 4 test1
install.
I tried the sfdisk procedure but that didn't work.
How can I restore the factory geometry to this drive?
