Hi,
I am seeing the RH 7.2 base kernel run faster than the latest WS 3.0 U3
or 4. And, the 2.4.7-10 kernel has a whole lot less NFS calls than the
newer kernels. My test scripts run faster in RH 7.2 than WS 3.0. I'm
forcing the WS 3.0 to be TCP 32Kb read/write and did not see any
improvement. Anybody has any idea why the old kernel is faster than the
latest and greatest?
Cheers,
Jonathan
