Hi there, friendly Linux people.
Having installed and configured dhcpd on RHEL3, I noticed that IP addresses
are issued in reverse order from the IP pool.
ie from IP pool 192.168.1.51 - 192.168.1.100, the following are issued:
192.168.1.100
192.168.1.99
192.168.1.98
192.168.1.97
Does anyone know why this may be? It didn't happen under RH7.3. Obviously
this is not strictly a problem as such, but I'd still like to get to the
bottom of it.
I can send the conf file if the answer isn't obvious.
Many thanks
Paul
