hi salo,
to solve ur prob try this:
# rm -rf /etc/X11/XF86Config
# mouseconfig(Press everything OK)
# service gpm restart
# redhat-config-xfree86(Press everything OK)
# service xfs restart
# reboot
After rebooting type
# startx
and to check in which GUI Desktop you are:
# vi /etc/sysconfig/desktop
(check the desktop you have now. it could be like this)
Desktop=GNOME or
Desktop=KDE or
Desktop=TWM
