Raid system hanging

    I have a system with an INtel SRCS16 Raid controller. Running Redhat WS 4.

    the system has started hanging when there is alot of disk access,
    when it hangs , in the /var/log/messages I see stuff like:
    Jun 22 08:36:55 speedy2 kernel: ata2: status=0x41 { DriveReady Error }
    Jun 22 08:36:55 speedy2 kernel: ata2: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }

    Does that mean I have failing drives ? or does it indicate the need for an adjustment ?
