Every print job kills eggcups and I must check a window box
to restart it. This began in FC3 when I upgraded from FC2.
So I upgraded to FC4 - not a fix. Then a fresh install of FC4 trying to
make eggcups work. Printing works fine and it looks like
all eggcups does is put the printer icon on the gnome panel.
All users including root have the problem.

Where can I get some docs on eggcups?
What starts it?
How can I prevent it from running?
Does it need to run at all?

Here is the way it looks from ps when restarted from the error box.
(I added the backslashes):
rey 2912 1 0 08:40 ? 00:00:00\
  eggcups --sm-config-prefix /eggcups-nEOhKL/\
  --sm-client-id 117f000001000111886956100000026720003\
  --screen 0

I have had the eggcups problem for several months now.
Eggcups was my main motivation to go to FC4.

I tried deleting and reinstalling cups
when I was running FC3 - not a fix.
I am thinking of deleting gnome. Is that possible? kde is installed.
Then reinstalling gnome.
