    Someone else in
    https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/2005-May/msg04347.html suggests
    an entry in ~/.Xclients as :

         xrdb ~/.Xdefaults

    but that seems contrary to the historical X implementation. Maybe FC3 is
    departing from the standards.
