Cannot get JetDirect printer to work on FC3

I cannot get a networked JetDirect printer to work on FC3. I've
followed the same steps I used on a RH9 computer on the same network to
successfully talk to the same JetDirect printer, but have had no luck on
the FC3 computer. (It's an HP 1300 laser printer with a Netgear mini
print server attachment, functionally equivalent to HP JetDirect.)

Following are:
(1) Steps I took
(2) Relevant messages
(3) Misc stuff

(1) Steps I took
================

On both RH9 and FC3 systems...

Red Hat logo at lower left -> System Settings -> Printing -> New ->
Forward -> Forward -> select "Networked JetDirect" queue > printer is at
192.168.0.150, port 9100 -> then....

For the RH9 system, pick HP Laserjet 1200 printer (HP 1300 not on the
list). This works fine.

For the FC3 system, pick HP Laserjet 1300 printer (HP 1300 is on the
list). I've also picked HP 1200 but neither 1200 nor 1300 works.

...then

-> Forward -> Apply -> print a test page.

On the RH9 computer, the test page prints fine, and I can print from all
my applications with no problem.

On the FC3 computer, no test page prints, and no applications can print
either.

Again, the same install steps were followed on both the RH9 and FC3
systems, and only the RH9 system worked properly, all on the same
network and trying to print to the same printer.

(2) Relevant messages
=====================

Poking around, I have seen the following messages on my FC3 computer...

"Attempting to connect to host 192.168.0.150 on port 9100"

"Unable to connect to printer (retrying in 30 seconds): Connection timed
out."

"Network host '192.168.0.150' is busy; will retry in 15 seconds..."

"There was a problem sending CUPS test page to 'net1300' queue: lpr:
error - unable to print file: server-error-service-unavailable"

(3) Misc
========

I can successfully ping the print server from the FC3 machine:
ping 192.168.0.150

I verified that CUPS is running on the FC3 system.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Mark
