I am running Fedora Core 4 on my Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop (with DVD/CD
burner... Sony I believe). The drive recognizes both CD and DVD disks
just fine (able to mount etc). However, if I insert a blank CD-R, the
drive attempts to scan for about 30 seconds and simply gives up with no
error or anything (checked syslog and dmesg). If I attempt to use
xcdroast or Nautilus, it claims there's no blank cd in the drive.
Anyone seen this? It's frustrating!! Yes, I've tried using SEVERAL
different blanks. Thanks in advance!!
