After upgrading from FC3 to FC4, a lot of icons went missing from menus
when logged in as a user. (I'm not sure what these menus are commonly
called in linux-ese, but the Windows equivalent is the "start" menu). The
icons all appear properly when logged in as root.
The "missing" icons are mostly game icons found in user/share/icons. The
ones that properly appear are in user/share/pixmaps. The permissions for
both folders look the same to me.
I can't seem to figure out how the "start" menu system works. Is it script
generated? There don't seem to be any folders that contain the structure
(again, like I'm used to in Windows).
I have this problem only in the Gnome desktop, not in KDE.
