Error installing linux redhat 7.1

I'm installing RedHat Linux 7.1, and when I select a partition to install
on, when I enter the name for the root partition, I enter "/root", It keeps
saying an error or something. I don't really remember that. I just want to
know exactly what to do (Number the steps like 1. 2.)
