Hi
I have multibooted Mandrake 9.2 with XP for over a year, no problems.
This is how I did it.
1. Added second hard disk , partitioned into NTFS, FAT32, Linux Swap,
and ext3.
2. Loaded up Mandrake 9.2, instructed the boot loader to be placed in
the Mandrake partition ( hdb1), booted Knoppix then used
dd if=/dev/hdb1 of=bootsect.lnx bs=512 count=1 then copied it to a
FAT32 partition.
3. In XP copied bootsect.lnx to c:\ and edited Boot.ini.
No problem dual booting.
Now I have added FC4 using the same techique, FC4 was loaded to the
hdb10 partition then dd if=/dev/hdb10 of=linux.bin bs=512 count=1done
and copied the c:\ , Boot.ini edited etc.
Now XP and FC4 will boot OK , but when I try and select Mandrake the
boot fails with the message:
Checking file systems
fsck.ext3: Filesystem has unsupported feature(s) (/)
e2fsck: Get a newer version of e2fsck !
Failed to check filesystem, Do you want to repair errors (Y/N)
Y
e2fsck 1.34 (25-Jul-2003)
fsck.ext3: Filesystem has unsupported feature(s) (/)
e2fsck: Get a newer version of e2fsck !
Any idea of what is going on here ?, I have checked the Mandrake file
systems with Knoppix and everything looks OK.
TIA
Paul
