HP DLT Tape compatibility

Hi,

I want to buy a DLT tape (HP StorageWorks DLT VS160) but HP only specify it is compatible with HP-UX and nothing about Linux compatibility.

This tape is it compatible with Linux in general and especially with Red Hat 9 ?
