Sound Card in Fedora Core 4

I have installed Linux Fedora Core 4 for the first time and am learning to use it so like many of you, I can get out from under the thumb and instability of Microsoft. Everything seemed to go well so far exept for the sound card. Installed in that particular machine is a Creative Labs Soundblaster Model CT4810. While I can hear sound from it, I get a constant hiss and the sound quality is extremely poor. The Chipset on the board is a Creative CT5880-DCQ. Fedora 4 recognized it as an Ensoniq ES1371 (AudioPCI-97).
Does anyone know where I can get the proper driver for this or what can be done to rectify the situation. The Creative Labs website was of no help and I can not locate a driver on the web.
Thanks
Steve .
