Do the same;

rpm -i
http://download.fedoralegacy.org/fedora/3/updates/i386/thunderbird-1.0.7-1.1.fc3.i386.rpm

This is one long line with a space after the 'rpm -i' portion and before the
rest. You might want to visit Fedora Legacy and learn how to use yum, then
all you would need to do is;

yum install thunderbird

yum works, thanks for the advice. I was trying to use the GUI system settings -> add/remove apps.
