Lenard,
OK, please post the results good or bad.
news is not good - same problem I've seend before. Following is the
output from growisofs/mkisofs:
WARNING: /dev/scd0 already carries isofs!
Sleeping for 5 sec..sec...^MWarning: creating filesystem that does not
conform to ISO-9660.
Warning: ISO-9660 filenames longer than 31 may cause buffer overflows
in the OS.
Warning: creating filesystem with (nonstandard) Joliet extensions
but without (standard) Rock Ridge extensions.
It is highly recommended to add Rock Ridge
mkisofs: No such file or directory. Invalid node - backup_2006_2_27
:-( write failed: Input/output error
This is why I originally decided to use the dvdrecord command with the
blank=fast argument.
Any idea what's happening?
According to your output the file 'backup_2006_2_27' is not a valid file, is
this the actual filename or does it possibly have an extension like tar or
tar.gz???
Here's an example of what you should expect to see(the media is being
overwrote);
