Re: Set Resolution on X for 19 inch monitor

Go with Lenard on the install forum, he knows what he's talking about, I'm just a beginner.
No my monitor type is not in the list.But it by default recognizes the
type and displays it in the monitor type. Also I tried editing the
/etc/x11/org.conf. but it gets back to default settings.

this is what i did ..correct me if I miss a step:

1. edited the /etc/x11/xorg.conf by adding 3200x2400 in the mode lines
and saved the file

2. ran 'setup' on command line. It poped a blue screen and went to
bottom where X configuration. then it pops the display settings
screen.But in the resolution list. i'm not able to see the 3200x2400
at all.

let me know if i missed something here ..
