How to do a bare metal restore with Netbackup on RHEL ES 4?

Dear RHEL users,

Has anyone of you tried to do a bare metal restore with Netbackup on RHEL ES 4?

A collegue of mine has setup a server with RHEL ES 4 and Netbackup as the backup tool. The 'partitioning' is done with LVM. Rescue mode on the installation disk does not have LVM tools.

Now we have to describe and test a method to do a full system recovery after a system disk crash.

We would like to hear your suggestions.

Red Hat support in England has not come up with a working suggestion yet. They want to mount the logical volumes, after a system disk crash lvm information is gone.

Kind regards,

Jan Gerrit Kootstra
