Samsung ML-1740 + cups-1.2.0 (FC5)

Cups-1.2.0 does not work with the Samsumg ML-1740 laser printer driver.
Last Friday, a routine "yum upgrade" on an FC5 i386 system installed
cups-1.2.0.
FIX:
o Download cups-1.1.23.tar.bz from www.cups.org
o "tar xfx cups-1.1.23.tar.gz"
o "cd cups-1.1.23"
o "./configure; make ; sudo make install"
o re-install the ML-1740 driver
Everything works fine again.
Yes this installs 1.1.23 on top of the yum installed cups-2.0.2.
Attempting "yum erase cups" wanted to delete 48 packages related to
printing.
In future, run "yum --exclude='cups*' ..." to prevent any newer versions
of cups replacing your working 1.1.23 version.
