Problems with vsftpd on Redhat 9

I cannot seem to get vsftpd to work on one of our Redhat 9 servers.

Its not working and is saying OK on a "service vsftpd start" but saying
FAILED when doing the stop on a service restart.

I am not sure whether I am missing doing something on the install ie whether
there is an existing ftp service clashing with it or what.

I have it working on its sister server.

Any advice welcome.

Many thanks in advance,

Aaron
