Hi, I recently installed a Creative Soundblaster Audigy. I Went to
System Settings -> Soundcard Detection and then changed my default
soundcard from the onboard VIA one to the one I just installed.
Everything seems to work fine, except for mplayer. When I try and play
an MP3 through it, it gives me: 'Could not open/initialise audio device
->no sound'. And when I try and play video through it, the video plays
but no sound. Why is mplayer not picking up the new card? Is there
somewhere I must set my default card with mplayer? I'm running FC4.

Re: Mythtv ... resulting mpg doesn't play with mplayer. ...card initializing.... So I know the card is working. ... the card using mplayer. ... (comp.os.linux.setup)
