I cannot run executable under FC5

Hi,

I've installed FEDORA CORE 5 on my desktop and it happens a strange thing. I cannot anymore run executable with the command

../executable

It gives "permission denied".

Only if I put the executable on the /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin directories it works.

For example:

> ./setup
../setup: Permission denied.

> ls -l ./setup
-rwxr-xr-x 1 tozzi users 22739 Jan 31 2006 setup*

> ls -l ../
drwxr-xr-x 6 tozzi users 4096 Aug 17 10:02 tmp/
(tmp is the directory where setup is)

What's going on?
Can anybody help me?
