Re: Who to read a Windows NTFS drive in a Linux server?

Can someone please help a Linux beginner who's desperate to recover
some data?

I have a server that was running Microsoft SBS 2003 Server, which has
failed due to a faulty HDD. This server had multiple SCSI disk drives.
I have rebuilt the server with a new SCSI drive and loaded RedHat AS4.
I want to now copy the data files from the Windows data drive onto my
Linux drive. I have put the old SCSI drive in the SCSI chain and Linux
can see it there as '/dev/sdb'.
Now how do I mount this so I can copy the files on my Linux hard disk?

Well RHEL does not support NTFS 'out-of-the-bos' for some legal reasons, but
not to worry just visit; http://www.linux-ntfs.org/ and with a little
searching and knowing which kernel you are running with (hint: uname -a)
you can find the ntfs module you need;
