When one tweaks entries in xorg.conf what must be done to test them? I'm showing my cluelessness here but I guess that what I'm asking is: how do I restart X? I've been rebooting the box altogether but that seems like overkill. I'm running gnome which in addition to 'ShutDown' and 'Restart' offers me the option to 'LogOut' but it's not clear to me whether this option forces a restart of the X server. So, what should I be doing to test changes to xorg.conf? Thanks in advance.
