Problems with GFS performance

Hi everybody,

i am currently evaluating GFS on a 4-node SAN-Clustersystem.

For a performance-sensitive development project i am trying to figure
out, how GFS behaves if it is put under heavy IO load.

The setup:
all four nodes mount a GFS volume, lock manager is gulm

The problem:
if two nodes use the filesystem, performance is worse than if all four
use the filesystem.

Any idears??

Stephan
