Problems with GFS performance

There is a big difference in how the cluster system handles 2 and 4
nodes. Mainly having to do with handling quorums. You might want to
check how it handles 3 nodes.
I'd have to review the specifics but if you are switching between 4 and
2 that can cause a problem.
Basically did you start from 2 and then go to 4.
