Sounds like you would have to do an FTP, NFS, or HTTP install. You
would need to configure the server components of any of these 3
services on working laptop B (or any other working computer on your
network, for that matter). And copy all of your RH CDs to laptop B.

I have two laptops in my network. On Compac Presario R3000 i am tring to
install Red Hat 9.i have already created the bootable CD however the
problem is that, on this laptop my Cd-Rom is not working.I want to use
my 2nd laptop which is Sony Waio VGN-FS690P,s DVD R/W to install the
same on my 1st laptop.Have connected both using cross over cable and

anyone help me with this problem.
If you need more information please let me know.
And don't use RH9 on that laptop, use Fedora Core 5. RH9 was obsolete five
years ago. It has no support for the A64's power management, it won't be
able to handle the high res screen or the R3000z, I doubt you'll be able
to get Ndiswrapper to work with a kernel that old (I could be wrong about
this), but you'll need Ndiswrapper if you want to use the Broadcom
wireless chip in the R3000z, it's not going to have drivers for the Nforce
3 chipset int he R3000z so you won't be able to use the ethernet. FC5
works great on the R3000z. I've been using Fedora on my R3000z since FC3.
FC3 required fiddling with Xorg to get it to support the 1650x1080 screen
but you won't have to do anything with FC5, it will work right out of the
box.
