how to start music & vedio in fedora core 6

Hi everybody;
I know that my question is silly but this is my
first linux OS. I just heve installed it {Fedora core 6} but I am
unable to play music & vedio on it. system sounds are working properly.
WHAT SHOULD I DO. I dont know linux commands so please
explain them also.
