I can't get Apache to run the php on my web pages.
I have confirmed that php is functional.
I have added the following lines to my /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps
Saved the file and bounced the apache server.
I am running fc4, Apache 2.0 and php 5.0.4
It has been years and I never used it so I am not certain if I remember correctly.
But I seem to remember php.org having a page on how to make it work with apache. It involved recompiling as I remember. Some place else I found a utility that asked what you wanted to work with Apache, went online and got the latest of everything you needed including apache and ran the compile for you.
