Thanks! This actually helped quite a bit - i found many tips i would
otherwise have been stuck on... there is one thing i'm hoping someone
can help me with:
I have read that older versions of mkinitrd do not support the 2.6 .ko
module names... what version of mkinitrd is considered "older"... i
have 3.2.6-1 which is old but will it look for ko modules? I ask
because when it executes it does not find any modules to include--
however i may not need any, i'm not sure...
Well, since I have support for my hard drives compiled into the kernel,
I no longer use an inital ramdisk at all (and don't even have support
for that compiled into the kernel). You may quite well not need an
initial ramdisk (my lilo.conf now has no reference to such an image).
