Just a wild guess, but this might be what you're looking for:

Check the section "Running VNC as your "desktop""
Go for xdcmcp and enable remote login from other machines.
System -> Administrator -> Login Screen
This allows you to login from a remote machine with F10 and selecting the machine (if they are in the same network). I use this all the time. All other seem to work easy but sound is muted.
