Imagine adding a new hard disk and altering the way they are connected.
(Maybe your current drive at /dev/sdb is at /dev/sdc after adding another
hard disk)
Using labels in your /etc/fstab file makes your operating system keep track
where your different partitions are and you eliminate potential problems
when altering your hard drive configuration.
