Hello together,
following situation:
I have a system error on my redhat system. Now I want to copy data
from the broken system to the new one. So I plugged in the disk with
the broken System with the vg VolGroup00 on it. The operating system
has a rootvg with the normal rootlv activated. If I try a pvscan it
only detects the disk with the active rootvg:
[root@localhost root]#
pvscan
pvscan -- reading all physical volumes (this may take a
while...)
pvscan -- ACTIVE PV "/dev/sda3" of VG "rootvg" [2.84 GB / 384 MB
free]
pvscan -- total: 1 [2.88 GB] / in use: 1 [2.88 GB] / in no VG: 0
[0]

/dev/sda2 4 42 120900 83 Linux
/dev/sda3 43 1015 3016300 8e Linux LVM
Disk /dev/sdb: 10.4 GB, 10487232000 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 1275 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

/dev/sdb2 2 14 104422+ 83 Linux
/dev/sdb3 15 1275 10128982+ 8e Linux LVM
Can someone help me to activate teh vg and mount the lv from /dev/
sdb3?
Thank you
Cheers Marcus
