People usually are a little careful when someone is posting from a college. Seems like a test or lab question.

May not even help that you are posting from a MSFT O/S.

Even if it were not, you haven't said what bootloader. Nor have you said what you mean by get into. Nor have you said what hardware it is running on, or what peripherals are attached. (Hint..)
