Re: Difficulty installing Fedora 7 from DVD ISo.

I encountered the same thing due to a sata DVD only being recognised at
first, then "lost" by the continuing install.
I had an ide DVD and restarted the install from it & all went smooth.

Hope this helps. FC7 is really nice.

I have done research on this problem, scanned faq's, googled and found no
info on this issue.

I have downloaded the dvd iso for Fedora 7 via bittorent and burned a cd
and
verified it.

I insert the DvD, boot it, says "Loading fw-ohci driver" and then asks me
for the language I'm using.

Then it loads that above driver again and then asks me about my keyboard.

Then it asks me what media I am using and the top two choices are Local
CDROM and Local Hard Drive.

The install guide says to choose CDROM and I do that.

It then displays "Loading fw-ohci driver" for about 30 seconds and then
gives the following message...

"The Fedora CD was not found in any of your CDROM drives. Please Insert
the
Fedora CD and Press OK to Retry."

I stumped the Fedora IRC on Freenode.

I asked in IRC if this DVD is or is not the only media I need to install
the
system and they said it was, but they had no idea why I'm getting this
error.

I have tried a new DvD, no dice, no difference.

I've tried network install but it asks me for a server name and I don't
have a server name, It isn't found in google.

I can't even seem to do a MediaCheck.

Its frustrating to the extreme!

I'm stuck, and all I can say is "Help?!"
