I posted this topic on the Fedora forum but they could not help me. I
hope I can find an answer here.
I was a Debian user but changed to Fedora 7 some weeks ago. When I
installed the ADSL connection I wanted to write the necessary options in
the file /etc/network/interfaces. To my surprise this file does not exist
in Fedora 7 (or hides in a directory I cant find). In Debian Etch the
content of /interfaces is
-----------------------------------------
# This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
# and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).
# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
# The primary network interface
allow-hotplug eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 10.0.0.140
netmask 255.255.255.0
auto eth0
auto ppp0
iface ppp0 inet ppp
provider telekom
----------------------------------------
Can some Red Hat/Fedora guru tell me where the corresponding Fedora file
hides??
Hubert
hi
u r try this,
open terminal in gnome,
then type
# cd /etc/network
# ls -a
this can list all hidden files in this Directory.u can view this file,
#cat (interfaces) or file name
