u r try this,
open terminal in gnome,
then type
# cd /etc/network
# ls -a
As I mentioned in my posting - the directory /etc/network does not exist
in Fedora7.
In the meantime I found out that my provider uses a ADSL that is slightly
different from the usual ADSL system. I had to install th pptp package
and make some changes in the /etc/ppp/options file. No I connect to the
internet by calling pptp 10.0.0.138 (the address of my adsl modem).
