I was tired last night when I posted the first message. I forgot to include the filesets installed on the various installations of Fedora:
This is the situation at the moment:
laptop_F7: pptp-1.7.1-2.fc6
laptop_F7: pptpconfig-20060821-1.fc7
laptop_FC6: pptp-1.7.1-3
laptop_FC6: pptpconfig-20060821-1.fc6
laptop_FC6: pptp-release-4-1.fc6
vintage_FC6: pptp-1.7.1-3
vintage_FC6: pptpconfig-20060821-1.fc6
vintage_FC6: pptp-release-4-1.fc6
I understand that the filesets on the laptop_F7 installation looks odd. I can't remember what it was when I first installed pptp/pptpconfig, but it certainly had no FC6 filesets! I've tried so many things to fix this problem (including duplicating the FC6 filesets on F7 - that I can't remember what it used to be.
As you can see, the fileset versions on both FC6 boxes are the same, yet one works and one doesn't.
BTW, I use Thunderbird as my news client, and it's set to wrap lines at 72 chars. If anyone is having a problem with displaying my messages, please let me know.
Tx, Jim
