Hello there,

I'm trying to install Fedora C7 using http.

So I've started up my computer with the rescue CD and then selected 'Install or Upgrade ...'.

When prompted for media I've chosen 'HTTP' and entered the address of one of Fedora's mirrors. I've also entered the path to the os directory.

The install process starts with a message 'Retreiving image/stage2.img'.

After a couple of minutes an unpleasant message appears 'Unable to retreive the install image'.

Any idea of what it's looking for ?

Address : ftp.univie.ac.at
Fedora directory : systems/linux/fedora/releases/7/Fedora/i386/os/

The probable thing would be indicated by the URL you gave, "ftp.univie.ac.at".

It would appear this is an ftp rather than http transfer site.

No it really is a http access. I've checked and did even tried ftp and had the same behavior.

But thanks
