hello,
i recently built redhat 5 x64 on proliant dl380 G5.
we had solaris x86 but had to move to redhat. old server had a us
robotics external modem.
It's got a serial interface, I tried putting it on the redhat server
and it won't detect it.
It's been a long time since I've played with modems. I tried looking
on the redhat website for the HCL but that webpage is too confusing/
complicated.
can anyone tell me if the US robotics external sportster modems work
on enterprise 5 x64?
if it's not on supported, what brand modems would you recommend? I've
been told multitech makes very good modems - like I said before it's
been a long time since I've messed with modems and I just don't know
about configuring or using modems. I hope we can get off it asap
because I hate modems!!
thank you,
Oskar
.
